NSW:Six illegal workers found at markets
Six Chinese students will be deported within a matter of days, after immigration officers
discovered they were working illegally at the Flemington Markets in Sydney.
The five females and one male, all aged in their 20s, will be transferred to the Villawood
Detention Centre to await processing.
Immigration officers discovered the workers today after they received a tip-off through
the government's Immigration Dob-in line.
A Department of Immigration spokeswoman says they came to Australia on student visas,
which have since expired.
